The Coppell Competitive Shooting Team (CCST) was organized in 2011 to develop discipline, focus and responsibility while promoting safety, teamwork and sportsmanship. We provide a structured and safe environment where youth can build confidence, enhance their marksmanship skills and achieve personal and team growth.
CCST is made up of committed athletes who excel in Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays. All athletes share a passion for shooting sports and a pledge to safety, integrity, and dedication. Whether competing at local tournaments, state or national championships, we work together to achieve our goals and support to one another.
Joining our team means becoming a part of a close-knit community that values hard work, camaraderie, respect and integrity. We invite you to learn more about us, our achievements, and how you can be part of our team!
The team is affiliated with the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and the Youth Education in Shooting Sports (YESS) national organizations. Organized as a non-profit club sport, our team is led by adult volunteers. The coaching staff are NRA certified and cumulatively possesses over 30 years of shooting experience.
The environment at team practices and competitive events is designed to include the element of fun for all participants. Safety, good sportsmanship, individual responsibility, self-discipline, and commitment are requirements in the CCST program.
Team practice begins in late September and runs through May with the State Championships in June and National Championships in July.
The team practices at the Grand Prairie Gun Club on Saturday mornings, typically twice a month. During the spring we compete routinely against other local competitive shooting teams. Regular attendance at practices and competitions is a requirement of team members.
